PRIVACY POLICY

Birdies for Charity AZ (BFC AZ) Statement on Privacy and Security of Information. The following policy explains our information gathering and dissemination practices. Please be aware that the BFC AZ service is not intended for children under the age of 18.

Information Collected
When you register with the BFC AZ service, our registration form may require you to give us certain information such as your name, e-mail address, and zip code, and asks for other optional information. BFC AZ will also collect other information you volunteer to us through use of our service. You may always choose not to provide such voluntary information to us; however, this may limit our ability to provide you with a specific service or particular content.

When we send messages to you or others, we may provide a URL link to the BFC AZ site that contains an alphanumeric identifier, which allows us to identify the person to whom we sent the message so that we can personalize our content for that individual.

BFC AZ uses pixel tags to gather information about the e-mails we send to our registered users and to recipients of messages. Pixel tags are tiny graphic files, not visible to the human eye, that are included in our HTML-encoded e-mail messages. When such a message is opened in an HTML-capable e-mail program, the recipient's computer will access our server to retrieve the pixel tag file, allowing us to record and store, along with your e-mail address, the date and time the recipient viewed the invite or reminder, that the recipient's e-mail program is capable of receiving HTML-encoded e-mail, and other standard logging information.

The information described above in the Section entitled "Information Collected" is referred to collectively in this policy as "Data."

Use of Information
We use the collected Data to calculate the amount of money pledged on a per birdie basis and to contact you if necessary. A valid e-mail address is required to communicate with you regarding your pledge.

We may also use the Data to send you information about the Waste Management Phoenix Open, which might be of interest to you. In addition, we may use your Data if we need to contact you regarding the use of our service. You may choose to stop receiving future communications from us; please see the Opt-Out section below.

Disclosure of Data
BFC AZ may disclose your Data, the contents of your private communications if required to do so by law, or as otherwise stated in this policy, or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (1) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on BFC AZ; (2) protect and defend the rights or property of BFC AZ; or (3) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of its members or the public. Also, certain technical processing of e-mail messages and their content may be required to: (1) send and receive messages; (2) conform to connecting networks' technical requirements; (3) conform to the limitations of the Service; or (4) conform to other similar requirements.

Security
This site has industry standard security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control and we make good faith efforts to store the information collected by the BFC AZ service in a secure operating environment that is not available to the public, but we cannot guarantee complete security.

International Users
If you are an international user, by registering with BFC AZ and using the service, you agree that BFC AZ may collect, use, and transfer your Data as described in this Privacy Policy.

Changes to this Policy
This policy may change from time to time. Please visit this site from time to time to ensure that any policy changes are acceptable to you. Your continued use of the site after the changes are posted constitutes your agreement to the changes with regard to information collected in the past and in the future from you. If you do not agree to the changes, you may opt-out as described above.

We may offer new services or technologies in the future that collect or use information in different ways. We will notify you of those new data collection practices either by revising this privacy policy when the new service launches, or through a separate privacy statement available upon registration for the new service.
